I received a congratulations for quitting for 12 months but this is not true. I quit in February 2023 and by August 2023 I started 3 a day , then 5, then 10 and now 12-15. I have set a new Quit date - Monday 4th March with the help of a Champix equivalent which I start on 23rd February. I hope it works this time. I want to cough less and save money.

Good morning Dween

you haven’t failed you actually lasted 6 months and although you had a set back , you decided to continue your journey with quitting, this time you will learn from your set back and will succeed.

Be proud that you quit for as long as you did and know that you are addicted to nicotine which means you cannot have just one! You woke the sleeping demon and now you have to lay him to rest again.

We learn from our mistakes, learn about nicotine and learn about ourselves. I bet you won't make the same mistake again.

Think about the positives rather than the negatives on this journey. You already know that you CAN do this and that is half the battle.

The battle really is won in the mind, think about smoking while you are still smoking. Smell it , taste the poisons and bid it a fond farewell

Hi You did really well for going for 6-7 months quit. I have quit but I had a recent dream where I had one puff then put it out. It still plays on my mind a bit but I remind myself every morning of my reasons to stop . You could try this too and set your intentions for the the day from the very first day you stop.
