I decided to go cold turkey after 20 years of smoking and have just completed day 9. I came across this website a few days ago and I have to say it has been the best thing I have found in inspiring me, everyone is so supportive and reading others experiences has been great in keeping me going. For anyone just starting I feel it is getting easier (I am not getting complacent as I know the second week can be tough) so get through those first few days and things will improve.
P.S you Aussies are the best, I haven’t found such a great community anywhere else on the internet

It is a wonderful community which I found after using a different site. It has countless stories which those joining can be inspired by, learn some tricks and better understand about nicotine, themselves and smoking.
While everyone is different, we are all the same. We can empathize and lend support to those seeking to find a new way. Embracing this journey rather than fearing it makes it pass quicker and with more likelihood of staying smoke free. Perhaps it is a good thing that it seems hard to quit smoking so that we never have to do it again. We only need to quit ONCE.
