This week was a rollercoaster. A lot of tests and challenges but I overcame them all without smoking and feeling really good about that. It really is a lot to do with your mental. Once you make up your mind you can do it. The trick is to keep your mind made up. NOPE!

Hi Piff,

It sounds like you’re going really well. Keep on going as you’ve got this. If you have a slip up just get back on track or on board again. It really is All in the mind. I found with cravings I have had to really think about it and what I really want. They the cravings are reminders that we do have power over this addiction and that they really lessen with time and with keeping strong in our decision. Determination builds and we keep saying no or nope and gradually the cravings will cease, though there may be occasional twinges. I’m feeling more confident every day. It all takes some time and healing but it’s so worth it. I hope you are not finding it too much of a struggle. Take some deep breaths and drink water or look through the stories on this site etc when you struggle. Distraction too is one option but another strategy is to sit with your feelings and you can see that they pass.
