1652 Days (4 and a half years). Haven't thought of this site for a while. Only when I got an email from iCanQuit. I can now say that I am actually a non-smoker and the temptation to smoke is close to 0%. Please don't give up trying, if I could finally do it after nearly 50 years of smoking anyone can. Get up without coughing, more money to pursue my other passions and travel. The journey may seem hard but the rewards are more than worth it.

Hi John. I certainly do remember you from the early days and while we might not agreed 100% percent on everything, we are certainly in solid agreement that we are in a better place today because we did quit smoking. Not only financially and for health reasons but we are free from the stresses of smoking.......where to light up, stealing away to get our fix, worrying about the lingering smell, , even enduring rain storms and blizzards. It is so liberating to be free from the tyranny of the nicotine demon.

It has been a while since I last saw a post from you John, but I do hope you and others check in to keep on track and to help encourage others in their quits. While I rarely, if ever, think of smoking except to participate here, I am well aware that others have fallen after long periods and I think that a reminder of our past from time to time is a good reinforcement to stay smoke-free.

Congratulations John and I hope you , I , and others will continue to enjoy our new chosen paths.
