NRT is just as addictive

I quit smoking in 2008. I had to use NRT as going cold turkey wasn’t going to work. Now here I am 14 years later still sucking on nicotine lozenges. I don’t want them for the nicotine. I have got use to them constantly being in my mouth and the sweetness of them isn’t helping as I love sugar. I have tried to quit these lozenges but nothing is working. I’m now having high blood sugar readings and am likely diabetic. Why is there help for quitting smoking but not for quitting these smoking aids?

Hi,
I recently swapped from Nicotine lozenges to a combo of sugar free lollies and peppermint lollies. As far as I know the nicotine lozenges contain artificial sugar. I’m glad I am off nicotine

I only have a few of the peppermint lollies per day as I also have to watch my sugar levels
