Chantix

28 days smoke free, no cravings at all. I’ve smoked for 30 years. I’ve tried quitting before each fail I took something back with educating myself. Im trying Chantix for the first time it’s been 3 weeks now and I feel so good. I’ve tried patches, lozenges, gum and cold turkey. I did quit for 8 months and went back when under stress. I’m prepared now. I’m 51 and I’m tired and bored with cigarettes. So ready to get healthy. Good luck to everyone. Please never give up trying. You can do this!

Hi Sheryl. Some do resume smoking after being quit for several months. Unfortunatelly, after all those months they still feel like it is willpower to say no to nicotine rather than a DECISION. I had tried to quit smoking in the earlier years, but did not have the knowledge , nor the DESIRE than I had This time around. Although a Heavy smoker of 40 years it was different because it was a CHOICE. It was not of parents, spouses or even children. I CHOSE!
Perhaps it was because I joined a site of non smoking and saw that it WAS possible
I WANTED to truly quit for various reasons, but not coherced.
I came to BELIEVE that it was possible to quit smoking. .......even after 40 years.
I Chose Change!
We all make excuses for what we believe in. Smokers are experts in the field of excuses. ....
No one wants to be perceived as a failure or as being weak...
We see alcohol abuse or heroin abuse as a problem,
but we don't see nicotine as the same.
Nicotine is a DRUG and we as smokers are ADDICTS to nicotine albeit it, thankfullyl, LEGAL.
Heroin controls the addict,
The addict wants control back
Do you?
Nicotine has been beaten my millions.
Stop making excuses
YOU are stronger than nicotine
and there is no reason why you cannot join the winning ranks!
Read and see the truth.
BELIEVE and you can be a winner too!!1
When I post, It is not necessarily addressed to the poster, you Sheryl. I do hope that you have chosen change over nicotine control. That really is the bottom line. When we are happy with change AND ACCEPT CHANGE., then we are are at peace with the decision and no longer need to justify it or even think about it. It just comes naturallyl..
