17 days smoke free

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 18 Jun 2022

I have lasted 17 days smoke free so far. I am also 21 days alcohol free also.

I must say that I do feel quite good about it all. The biggest thing to me is my smell has returned.

I can smell a smoker from a mile away! I can’t believe I used to smell like that!

I am using a very low nicotine vape and have found it to be very useful.

I have had the odd craving, but nothing that I can’t deal with.

I have been reading everyone’s stories and will check back in within a few weeks.

Great work Keith, well done!👍

Yes, I can smell smoke from 500 yards away and must admit I don’t like it. Previous quit attempt s I used to live second hand smoke not now

Yes my smell gas returned and I’ve found the world stinks!😂

My first outing today down the pub of not smoking so we’ll see how I get on!

Congratulation on over two weeks smoke-free Keith. In reading your last post which I missed, you said how vaped 0% nicotine content and were surprised at having no cravings. Nicotine withdrawal is barely perceptible. It is the psychological aspect of the quit which is longest and the hardest. However, I too found quitting smoking this time around to be much easier than I could have anticipated. I guess it just feels right and we are ready. Finding this site and finding support and belief is also crucial. We can quit smoking....lots do! Keep checking in and holding onto that belief!
