Got to stay strong

On day 7 today. Urge to smoke is less than this time last week when I caved after 5 days. The weekend is a struggle as I feel like a treat and time to relax. Smoking is a lie and is not a treat or helpful with relaxation but constantly robs us of peace. Must keep this in the front of my mind going into the weekend.

Yes, it definitely helps to keep the truth in the forefront. When we realize that smoking really did nothing, it is easier to let it and the lies go.

Adjust your way of thinking , keep busy and be PROUD that you are doing this for you and a better life ahead. Temporary discomfort is well worth the freedom and benefits ahead. No one regrets quitting smoking. No one Chose to smoke for life. It is a life sentence unless we say "Enough". It is an Addiction , but we are stronger than nicotine. We can choose better habits to fill the void, and we can be free of smoking.

When you feel that a weekend is "treat" time, go ahead and treat yourself to something other than a smoke. Substitute your "smoke" treat with something else you like. One hour at a time, one day at a time. You will be so happy to make it through the weekend, then onto Monday. Each day it gets easier. Each weekend it gets easier. You can do this. Most of us have had the same struggles as you. If we can get through it, You can do this!!!
