I am Willing to quit.

So far so good...had some bad days but managed to overcome them...been now 8 months smoke free ...God is willing so am I.

Hello MrA73! I see this is your first post. Glad to hear from you. 8 months!! That is certainly an accomplishment! Good job! Very good job! Can you share any helpful hints with us? Anything that you did that was especially helpful to you personally? Do you do anything in particular to keep focused? Not trying to be nosey, but always interested in other peoples success stories and it looks like you are a success!!! Thanks.

Hello
Reason I've gone this long without smoking is simply put..
I realise if I kept smoking I wouldn't or the thought of dying young is scary ..
I want to grow old and live the life I was meant to live without smoking something harming my body...
Now 8 months later I can smell and breathe fresh air..exercising is much easier..
Yes its a mental thing I'm not gonna say it's easy but step by step everyday can be a challenge but hang in there ..
I keep saying to myself - I CAN DO THIS I CAN DO THIS..HOPE IS SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO..BELIEVE AND IT WILL HAPPEN..

Thanks for sharing MrA73, You made a lot of sense and I agree with you. I'm not yet 2 months but I do find it becoming easier but I have to say,... it does take an effort on my part. Then again, as time goes on, it does not take as much effort. "Time" - I think is a factor in all of this. We CAN do this! Thanks!

Welcome MrA73 you are more than willing to quit you are now a non smoker, you have quit. Congratulations to you on claiming back your freedom and escaping the addiction. Yes the positives are endless and only negatives removed. Bravo my friend๐๐โบ

Congratulations on your 8 month milestone. It does get easier with time and acceptance. Inviting change rather than "enduring" it make the psychological switch easier. Willpower needs not be a factor when it is something that we embrace with our hearts.
We can all agree that we are proud and grateful to be non-smokers once again and have a chance at a longer and healthier life.

There is nothing like having someone on our side and for us ๐โค๏ธ๐๐
