Hi folks.

I have no idea how this website works or how to find my last post. Its all a little outdated, clunky and user unfriendly. I will just post this probably the last time as I cant navigate this dinosaur.

I quit in may only to have my champix ripped off the shelves mid course. My doc gave me antianxiety for tummy flutters. 7 days later i just went commando and punched the daylights out of any desires & lingering withdrawal. I win Smokes lose. In the last 4 days its as though I never smoked. I've even stopped inhaling chocolate and sugar.

Thanks to all for your good intentions & advice but I'll be signing out now as the website is an old unusable dinosaur.

You Go Girl!

Good on you quitting smoking after 38 years and coming back after using the patch last year.

It is wonderful that you persevered and didn't use the discontinuation of Champix stand in your way. These aids still need you to address the psychological part of quitting smoking. which we advised you to do on your last posting.

Personally i love this site because I could just click on your name and read your posts . The one site that I started out on was Helter Skelter. Should I wish to notify someone personally, I could click on any of their stories or comments, then click on their name and write something. Of course it is public and you need to look for their response where you originally asked it.

We will hate to lose you, but congratulate you on making up your mind to quit and just doing it!

Aids like Champix, are just that....aids. You still need to deal with how you think of smoking in a new light. Best Wishes and always remember NOPE.

Hi Patches, I don't understand!!! just simply go to stories and experiences, this will bring you into the posts on a daily basis. I am the dinosaur, yet it has been quite easy for me. The hiccup in your Champix use is maybe the only reason you are not happy with the site. We do not standardise our remarks and this makes this the best website currently operating, it comes from the heart.

Ok. I think I've found my way back. Not sure.

During the short lived Champix course, i managed to quit chain smoking after 47 years, not 37 like I first stated, while completing Account's Administration Certificate III, which were 2 of the hardest things I've ever done simultaneously. I've moved on in the midst of Champix withdrawal to repeating Business Administration Certificate III as the qualification from 12 years ago is no longer on the TAFE records.

This is probably more to do with my impatience about learning this website than being old & uneducated as assumed here. Thanks for that.

As i am very independent, I've never had the need to rely on "websites" for support, and probably won't again.

As for being "unhappy", don't ever assume much less speak such rubbish on a public platform. I'm embarrassed for you.

To the one or 2 who were supportive, bless your cotton socks. May the sun always shine on your face & the wind at your back.

May you be as happy & successful as I feel at the moment.

Cheers.

Kim.
