3 Weeks = You CAN teach and old dog new tricks!

Hello my non-smoking and soon to be non-smoking friends. Yippee!! After decades of smoking, I have been a non-smoker for 3 weeks without a single puff! If I can do it anyone can do it!
The number of attempts I have had are sadly in the double digits. I have NEVER made it 3 entire weeks. I now believe it's never too late and you are never too old!!! I am beginning to see subtle benefits and I know there are more to come (solidified by posts from this Quitfam, in which I trust).
As with all my past quits, I was so thrilled at first to make it past a few hours, then an entire day, then day #2 to week #1, week #2 and now, I am EXTRA thrilled to make it to week #3! I know for some of you 3 weeks is still considered "baby steps" but I'm looking forward to graduating from steps to sprints!
The desires to smoke are certainly fading, in fact, I barely think about it. Life is becoming somewhat normal without cigarettes' in my life. I no longer need to think about the number of cigarettes' I have on hand and the worry of running out of them. This is a HUGE stress relief my friends, honestly.
I am now in new territory. I am going to push my "mindset" into purely believing, positive thinking and be just as determined to get to week #4 as I was to get through day #1 and I will do so with conviction, confidence and joy in my heart!!! Either way, I'm going to quit for good, period!!! Either I can cry about it or be joyful about it and I choose to be joyful about it.
Please keep the posts rolling in... I think they play a big part in addiction recovery, and a huge help with mindset (yes, we are all addicts in my eyes,.. but legal addicts). I am sure there is a big audience out there that wants to hear about all these accomplishments, incentives AND mostly, how life is "on the other side" from all of the seasoned non-smokers that have been set FREE.
Once again, a BIG thank you to my QuitFam!! Thank you WINNERS TEAM!! This community ROCKS!!!
I hope everyone out there is having a wonderful smokeless day!!! One day at a time and N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff EVER)!!

Way to go Nope, no doubt about it, you can teach old dogs new tricks, I have always believed that in many instances.
It is so good to hear, that you have crossed the first of many finishing lines...You will never regret it. Your joyful attitude, is perhaps the key to beginning a new phase in your life. NOPE (not one puff ever) Congratulations, you deserve it.

Thanks Red-67 and softly40. I didn't mean to be so "wordy" and take up too much of your time reading,... and reading,... but I'm pretty stoked! Onward to freedom!

Way to go Nope2021, you are smashing it, I love your mindset and I agree, lets relish in the positivity, conviction and determination. I think it is just mind over matter right and we simply don't want them anymore.
3weeks may be early stages still but its not next to Day 1, and a whole lot cruisier at our stages, than Day 1. Proud of you - High5 team winner๐๐ค

all you want. short responses from this we at the cottage. on screen is tediousek since i forgot my keyboard dongle.....lol

Way to go Nope2021 3 weeks is AWESOME ๐ you just keep doing what you're doing โค๏ธ๐๐
You've got this, Nope! Soooo proud of you!
Don't get discouraged if 'the day from hell' pops out of the blue. I've just had one (NO idea why) and it really threw me, as I feel so happy and resolute. On the plus side - if your head is right and you've got your Quit mindset 100%, you can handle whatever your body throws at you.
Keep going - you're looking great! x
