467 days!

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 25 Jul 2021

Haven’t been here for quite sometime but wanted to come back and read some of the stories! For me it’s now day 467! I don’t even keep count anymore it’s only because of the white smoking app I have. I’m here to tell those who are thinking of quoting or just freshly quit, that the hardest part is the first maybe 90 or so days, but it gets easier as time passes! Just make yourself the goal of not smoking for atleast 90 days, and when you reach those 90 days make your self the goal of reaching say 250 days etc. Take baby steps! I can assure you that as the days go by, smoking gets farther in the rear view mirror. You CAN quit and you CAN stay quit. After 467 days, smoking or the thought of smoking doesn’t even face me any more. I have now programmed my brain to see smoking as a disgusting, filthy, unhealthy and expensive habit, rather then a pleasurable activity. You CAN do it! Stay STRONG! Your first days of quitting are the hardest but it gets easier after that!! I look at the act of smoking now as a pointless waste of time and soon you will too!

Thank you for sharing your success and helping to inspire those of us still in the early stages. I’m at 3-weeks today with one small slip-up but I’ve been able to keep my focus on the end goal and can’t wait for the day I’m in triple digits as well. Congratulations 🎉

A great inspirational story is always welcome and encourages others to keep going. We can make smoking a thing of the past. Every day does get easier, which is good news for most. Congrats on your success.
