14 weeks

14 weeks now, its hard drinking alcohol and not smoking. Just something i need to deal with. I'm getting through it still. Dont want to smoke and rather stay smoke free. I've reinforced myself with lots of knowledge and follow my quit plan. On with it i guess!

Hi there Poco, your guess is right...on with it ....you need to go to for now, in the meantime, you need to re-enforce your mind with something else than thinking you miss that cigarette. NOPE (not one puff ever) comes to mind as you are having your drink. Ultimately your mind and body will come to accept this.
Your reasons to not smoke should be at the top of your list, not at the bottom,
Lastly when you want to enjoy something without the feeling of loss, your belief in yourself and your newfound joy, needs to be re-enforced, so count your blessings when you feel this way literally count the joys you have added to your life, after all it is a blessing that you have now stopped the vicious circle of enslavement, enjoy that feeling more.

Yes, you sound doubtful...onward you guess?
Taking satisfaction and pride in your great accomplishment would serve you well. Be happy and grateful for all the benefits to come. Enjoy the freedom from being a slave to a drug addiction. Start thinking of cigarettes in a different way and you won't miss them one bit!
