Hi, I’m 2 weeks in and going well but my Sinuses are terrible esp at night did anyone else experience this?

schedule 19 Feb 2021

It might be the NRT and not the cigarette K01977. In answer to your question, my sinuses were worse for me when I smoked, but nothing really to worry about. It does have some sort of relationship to the sinus's in fact I lost my sense of smell on the way through which smoking was the culprit. No one has brought this up before that I can remember. It is early days, so your body could be healing from this problem. Congratulations on 2 weeks smoke free

All kinds of maladies pop up to harass the newly quit. The mind will play tricks and the body gets into the act too. I believe it is due to stress.

I am losing weight , and doing more exercise, and then the loss stopped. I have read that the stress of the exercise may be causing my body to slow the metabolism because it thinks it is saving me. Could this be the reason so many are plagued by mysterious medical problems. (real or psychological)

I know I can lose the weight. I BELIEVE I can and I want to . Maybe it is my impatience, since I did increase exercise to lose it faster. Maybe it IS the stress of expecting so much of myself. I could understand it if I was on a silly crash diet, but eat well and don't overdo when tired.

We have to keep thinking POSITiVE and find ways to console our bodies. They are experiencing changes and we need to allow them to adjust.

You will get through this, as will I, and be happy that we persevered.

Hi I did during my second attempt at quitting.

Now during my third attempt I’m prepared and haven’t had any problems.

1. Use a saline nasal spray twice/thrice a day. (Once before sleeping).

2. When showering, take along a cup of hot water with salt and gargle.

3. Buy a humidifier (I bought one in which I can add lavender essential oil). I shut my bedroom door and on that every night!
