Tip

Hi, I have sipped smoking for 9
Months. However, I’m craving that satisfaction that only a cigarettes gives. It feels like an actual physical craving. Will it ever go?

It will go but only once you embrace life as a non-smoker and stop idolizing it. You can have it and many others if you choose to do so. What do you want more in your life?
Find the reasons why you quit smoking. Perhaps they have changed?
Do a pro and con list on paper. Do not debate this in your head. Giving nicotine the change to get into your head again will be your undoing. Nicotine is a drug. We were addicts. Just one is like giving one drink to an alcoholic. It won't be just one.
If you have been following us, you will know all this and how the mindset can free you from the thoughts of smoking. That is all the cravings are . THOUGHTS. Turn your attention to something else and be proud to come as far as you have. Desire freedom and health rather than being controlled by the nicotine addiction and health issues due to other chemicals. Only the tobacco companies and government gain at your expense. Say enough! Stand by your conviction. We can stop smoking if we truly want to.

9 months is so amazing. I quit once for about 10 months, then I totally romanticised the cigarette and now I am back at day 5!! If I could go back and tell myself anything now, it would be, the first one tastes terrible, so you go ahead and have another one to chase that “feeling” you speak off. Next thing you know your smoking heaps and your gums become redder, you smell like an ash tray, you are poorer, and you feel breathless. Don’t do it!! We always romanticise one without thinking about all the others that really truly suck. I can’t wait until I am in your position, don’t give up on you, your lungs, or your wallet. Good luck :)

Hi Nonnon, firstly congratulations on your 9 months quitting smoking it’s a fantastic achievement,as Happiness said in her post to you,you need to mentally view nicotine with the contempt it deserves, the disgusting horrible drug that has controlled you for all of this time, through my time stopping one of the quotes somebody said on our site wassomething like”when we buy a packet of cigarettes,we are actually paying to kill ourselves, and i found that comment really stook in my head, don’t glorify nicotine in your mind, your 9 months in,so you’ve got the measure of the crappy drug, now it’s about training your mind, don’t even give the drug room for thought,it’s just nicotine’s last feeble attempt to break you down and beat your mindset, leave it in the past where it belongs, good luck for the future remember NOPE....NOT ONE PUFF EVER.💪👍

Thank you to you all for your comments and advice on my post. I needed to hear this and it is making me determined not to give in and light up just That one...
