Trying

First of all I would like to say thank you for all the support and feedback I have had from you all.
Sadly to say I’m very disappointed in myself as I buckled and had a cigarette.
I know I have been told not to beat myself up about it but yes I am
So tomorrow will be a whole new day and I’m going to try my hardest not to give in
I’m trying to be positive and train my brain but at times it is hard
I know I will get through this but at the moment I’m taking each hour by hour and then it will continue with day by day and so on.
Next time I post I will be determined to post that I haven’t had a cigarette
Yes I understand I might get bagged out but I think I deserve it this time
Once again
Thank you for all your support

We all deserve to live free of the demands of the nicotine addiction. It is a drug that made us need it to feel free of the cravings that it itself caused. So we inhale chemicals , tar and toxins which the companies keep adding to keep us true to their brand while killing us slowly . Robbing us of our health to line their pockets.
When you have your next cigarette, you and others still smoking need to realize that it is an addiction. A fix.....like heroin...only it is legal. Have it standing , alone, as I am sure you have done on many occasions, (not just socially) smell it, smell yourself, if you can over its stink, taste it. Y u can taste the poisons in it! Understand how it rules you, takes you away from things to feed its incessant hunger. Who else tells you what to do? When are you going to get tired of being stinky, broke and treated like a servant? When you look at things in a different light, you can change your feelings and even your mind about things. Many here have quit smoking and you can too...anybody can! The first step is to WANT to. We can help you find the WANT. Read and learn. We all thought we were special cases that could not break free after decades of such an addiction. We believed that it was hard to quit smoking. I am telling you that it does not have to be hard. We were brainwashed and now you have to have your mind reprogrammed. Believe you can quit. We did. You are not special.

So glad you have returned, for support in your attempt to quit. I like the phrase from Happiness - "When are you going to get tired of being stinky, broke and treated like a servant?" Read and above all learn from every one of our posts, come back often write out your reasons often, think happy thoughts every night before you go to sleep, and keep the saying NOPE (not one puff ever) every minute of every day. Do not have excuses to return to smoking, Nicotine is not a friend Try again and come back again.

How's it going today. Today is the beginning of the rest of your life. A life you choose if you can just believe in yourself. Past quits do not dictate the outcome of this one. You have learned your weaknesses.....and your strengths!
You may not feel strong, but you are here.....a first big step
Then you joined ....many do not, but you made yourself more accountable, not afraid to admit your are human if you don't succeed the first time here.
Not only did you join, but posted and made a commitment, and we as a group make a commitment to help you . We post our problems, feeling, trials and errors and usually our successes in due time. This all helps others like yourself to glean some insight to the addiction and how we combat it.
You chose a date to quit and followed through....how many cowards out?
You are no coward. You are as strong or stronger than any of us and can follow your heart on this too....
Perhaps that is the crux...the heart, and the mind.....
Things are so much easier to do when we want to do them...
Like shopping, at times we enjoy the outing, and at times we just don't feel like it. We make our own happiness. This journey is so much more enjoyable when we think positive. Look at the benefits of what you will gain......money, health, freedom and even confidence ! You are not leaving a friend but a leech that sucks you dry in all those areas.
We know that you can quit smoking. Now you need to believe it.
Read and learn. We are with you throughout.
