100 days up.

I have crossed my day 100 and am on day 103 today. I feel so happy to be a part of this community as it has played a very important role in helping me stay quit. I ma now confident to make other healthy changes in life. As we approach new year I want to take w long break from alcohol consumption. Though the amount of consumption has come down since I stopped smoking I want to stop it completely. I intend to continue with my meditation and fitness plans. Thank you everyone and wish you all a happy new year.

Hi Partha. Wonderful to hear from you and that you are doing so well as a happy smoker!
One of the benefits of quitting smoking is the self confidence and pride in knowing that we did what had been said was hard to do. We won against the nicotine devil and we can face anything else that impedes our progress to our other desires!
You should have no trouble in quitting drinking altogether. It is hard with all the temptation of food and alcohol over this special time of year, so I have met my goal of losing 5 more pounds and am coasting until after New Year;s Day. I will be putting my heart and mind back into my losing weight. Exercise, which I once hated, I look forward to it's benefits!
I am sure you will do well with your new desire as well. Meanwhile make good choices and behave, but have fun and enjoy !
Happy New Year to all! Stay Safe!

Congratulations Partha, it is amazing how we can do something when you put your mind to it. You have enjoyed the changes in your lifestyle completely by not smoking, now you still need to enjoy other experiences more than drinking. I will be starting to lose some weight this year, so this will be an interesting experience for me. I wish you good luck and a very Happy New Year, well done

A huge well done on your passing 100 days.
I am struggling daily but am very proud to have achieved 75 days alcohol free today after 44 years of heavy drinking daily. You may wish to check out soberliving.org.nz
The members feed is amazing as well as all the other info on the site.
Again, a huge well done.

Thank you Happiness, softly40 and judym23. All these suggestions and assurance means a lot to me. Yes, today is the first day for me off alcohol. I have started using https://livingsober.org.nz/ which I think was the website judym23 suggested. Thanks for sharing the same. It is certainly a great resource. Also, I am using the app TRY DRY: The app for Dry January and beyond. I hope 2021 is going to be a wonderful year for all of us and we will be in much better shape by the end of it. Thank you again.
