Quitting experience left hand/arm numb and other withdrawal symptoms I guess

Hi, I quit smoking July 1, 2020. But there are some weekends I drink a bottle of beer or two. I smoke for like 1-2sticks when I am drinking. I regularly smoke 10 sticks a day before I quit. I’ve been smoking for 10 years. So fast forward, september 27 was my last beer and smoke. After 2 days, i think the symptoms came. I have numbness in my left arm to and around my heart muscle, sometimes in the upper part of my elbow, sometimes in the hands. I didnt drink beer since then, until now. Because I really want to fully quit like 100%. But the numbness is still there. The first week of october 2020, the numb is average. Its really annoying. Then the following week its kinda tolerable until now. Is this part of the withdrawal symptoms? I can’t sleep well. I am very worried. What I am doing is I woke up early, tried walking and cardio exercise. I dont have issue on breathing during this exercise. But there are some dAys that my throat or airways are like blocked or something like that I cAnnot breathe well for a minute or 2. Then it will be back to normal. I also have dreams that I cannot breathe then when i woke up I can breathe normally. And lately I feel like I am always tired. I always want to sleep. I wanted to talk to a doctor but I am afraid because of the pandemic situtation. Does anyone have these experiences? I would be glad to hear your experiences thank you so much for reading my story

Hi, from the list of issues you are describing I think a visit to your Doctor is the most appropriate response. Before I quit the drinking and smoking I had a full physical and blood test with my GP. They are there to support you as well.

Hi iCan,you must go see a doctor to put your mind at rest as far as your health issues go,it will put your mind at rest so then you can totally focus on your quit
Have a great smoke free day
Steve

Agreed. Seek medical attention. Symptoms of heart disease and stroke should not be taken lightly. Don't let covid stop you from getting the care you might need. The stress of not knowing will only cause futher problems. Take care and let us know how you are doing.

After you have read the advice given, please go to your doctor this is not a withdrawal symptom.

An UPDATE:
I went to the hospital to get my condition checked and fortunately all results are normal. For the past days, I have observed that maybe I was overthinking about mg health. I can’t determine if I was having anxiety attack or sort of serious condition. But thank God, after all the tests that was taken it was all negative. Thank you guys for your previous comments and suggestions. I still have numbness in my left hand but i think this is just a part of my recovery process or recovery journey. Lets stay strong and continue to live a healthy and happy life. If you feel the same symptoms hat I have, pls go to your doctor and get checked. It will really help you a lot. Don’t be afraid of the pandemic situation and yes, Always PRAY. This forum helped me a lot with all the members around here. Thank you soo much.

I was glad to see another post in which you said you were alright. Thank you. We have quite a few newcomers pop in lately and your story got buried after a few days.
My spouse had numbness, as I did years ago....the result of a pinched nerve. Who knows, the mind does strange things as i have learned here. The main thing is that you are alright and will recover from all of this in time. You are at peace knowing all is well, and I hope you are still quit.
Think positive!

Hi Happiness! how are you today? Thank you so much for reading my update. Yes I am at peace like 101%. I asked my doctor for sleeping pill so that I could sleep well. I am doing good, I guess this is the part of the process. I am 101% quit and I won’t go back to smoking anymore. Time to go to gym, for boxing and any physical activities at the same time eating veges and fruits. I am practicing meditation as well. This forum and especially you guys helped me a lot. I read the new stories that has been posted together with your comments, thank you for guiding us. Have a nice day!
