Wounded tonight,After work we always pop for a quick pint on the way home to a pub close by,since we’ve been going in I was attracted to a very beautifull waitress there,well after a few weeks of having a bit of banter and stuff we exchanged numbers and tonight we’ve been messaging,it was all going well until I asked her if she smoked,she said”yes”and now I’m not interested but I don’t know what to say to let her down nicely,any ideas you girls on herex
Hello new chapter firstly well done to you for setting boundaries around what you can and cannot accept in your new life as a non smoker. For me honesty put forward with kindness is what I would do. There is nothing wrong with letting the lady know that you are interested in her however the only thing that is holding you back from seeing if it could go any further is the smoking. Who knows maybe she might like to join you in becoming a non smoker and she may like the fact that you know how to give yourself what you need to remain a non smoker. Well wishes with it ❤️
if she is not prepared to give up the smoking move on with no hard feelings. There are plenty of beautiful souls out there that don't smoke.
I honesty is the best policy. She will wonder why the cold shoulder otherwise and she doen't deserve that. Perhaps she will quit as well. She will feel self conscious of how she smells and tastes too if you get together and she continues to smoke. Letting her know that quitting really is possible may give her the incentive to do so. Good Luck...just remember NOPE or put her off until you feel secure.
Thankyou Jess and Happiness for your replies and advice,I’ve decided I’m not going to Take it any further and just stay friends,I don’t want to be with anyone who smells af smoke and all that jazz now she’s cool with it too so all is good😀it wouldn’t be right to get with a smoker and try to change her,she must do that in her life for her and only her when she’s ready,not do it for someone else,so friends is good for me,shame tho,and as you say Jess there’s plenty of lovely souls out there that don’t smoke,have a lovely day both of you😃❤️X
