I’m A Month And A Few Days Smoke Free. Anybody Had To Start Back Because They Just Couldn’t Shake The Anxiety And Panic Attacks. I Mean I’m Always Thinking Something Is Wrong. I’m Spending Most Of Amy Days On Edge Panicky And My Nights Are Horrible I Hate To Even Think About Sleep Because It’s Like A Fight

Hi Kiac. I can only suggest that you follow the posts on this sight and try to embrace the mindset. Dealing with the unknown can be scary, but being prepared and looking forward to the changes and benefits will ease your mind. Meditation, excercise and even some foods can reduce anxiety. Deep breathes work wonders and lower blood pressure almost immediately. Breathing exercises can also help sleep as well as a regular schedule, cool and dark environment, quiet of course, and low keyed activities and light before bedtime.

You are in good company. Embrace and enjoy the journey.

Thank you: I’m trying because I definitely don’t wanna smoke anymore. But I have to find a way to cope with these situations

Try to take your mind off of it. Do some walking or any other physical/mental exercises to take your mind off of this nasty. Eat sunflower seeds because they kill the urge to smoke and mimic hand to mouth motion that all new quitters miss so much. When it gets hard keep repeating to yourself - Nope, nope, nope (not one puff ever) mantra. Good luck and cheers.

Hi Kiac,

sometimes if you can take one big deep breath in, and one deep slow breath out can help slow a racing mind. One month is really so good, stay strong and visit this site often, it's helping me when I feel like I need a little pickmeup.

Hi Kiac, I feel your pain. i am 2 months in and my axiety and panic attacks are at an all time high. Been taken down to emergency during panic attacks and had heart and ecg checks. All clear. Also been to doctors this week. blood pressure normal and again all bloods are normal. Just cant get rid of the shakiness and on edge feeling not to mention the aches and pains.

Every hour or so i am tempted yet again to go down to hospital and tell them something is wrong and then just like that i seem to calm down.

I am not giving up though and staying strong. I am hoping all the horrible side effects will soon start to settle down and i can really start to appreciate all the perks of being smoke free.

Your not alone!!!!! - Good luck on your journey
