Restart my quit

i am using the 14 mg Patch am now into my third day recently came off a 10 week quit. Persevere.

I have read your previous posts Jatchat, and recognise that you are well aware of the mental challenges that effect your quit. The main one is to accept the fact that this is a forever scenario, and NOPE (not one puff ever) is a daily Mantra, and this is the point that you are struggling with.
Nicotine loves to be fed and doesn't like you taking control, which is why the Mantra of NOPE or a similar one needs to be fed every day, your reasons need more research and written down to be read by yourself every day too. Have a look at "How to grow to be a happy smoker" by NASIA DAVOS it is on u-tube with the emphasis on growth and understanding of self. Congratulations on your courage to start again. kick them into the gutter where they belong.

While it is a disappointment and setback to have stumbled, I am glad to see that you haven't given up givin'up. Every attempt will give you new knowledge , insight and ways to succeed the next time. We can quit smoking and so can you.

Softly, thanks for the link, I looked at it and have adopted some of the strategies unto my quit smoking routine.

I have restarted my quit numerous times, but what I lacked was a plan, with the help of this site I was able to come to the conclusion along with advice from Prof. Renae Bittoun that I needed some more NRT, so I stepped up to two patches, and so far 3 days I have not had any significant cravings, I have thoughts of smoking, but I reinforce my decision and have posted above my computer the words "I choose not to smoke" I have not rang the quit line yet as this plan seems to be working. I would be interested in any feedback quitters may like to offer.

I am currently at the end of week 2, quit for 3 weeks tonight, many thanks to the health worker supporting me...

And many thanks to quit line supporters as well, Three weeks, five days, 6 hours, 57 minutes and 0 seconds. 1051 cigarettes not smoked, saving $1,522.17. Life saved: 3 days, 15 hours, 35 minutes.

Between christmas and New Year temptations are rife, but doing my best to resist...Four weeks, one day, 11 hours, 0 minutes and 48 seconds. 1178 cigarettes not smoked, saving $1,705.64. Life saved: 4 days, 2 hours, 10 minutes.
