I have used Champix once previously and yes, they can make you feel tired and a nauseaus. Try taking your pill in the middle of a meal...and I could only ever have half a pill in the morning and in the end I dropped it off as my confidence in my will power built up. I have found champix really helpful - I was highly addicted to nicotine and my brain went haywire when it was removed and I kind of somehow always found myself at a cigarette counter....champax gave my brain the space to do the work to address the addiction...I've been totally quit for a month now, which is the longest I've managed since I started as a teenager. I know from my previous attempt at quitting that staying on the champax is important. And I have incredibly vivid dreams on champax which is not uncommon, and so I do wake up a bit...

Welcome Whasup I was on Champix and for me this was the best thing after a couple of attempts, let me say that this forum was not in place at the time and this kept me motivated, so stay close.

I was tired only at the beginning, I had too many vivid dreams bordering on nightmares, so I dropped the evening dose. Others have had the evening dose directly after their dinner not late at night.

For me this was the best choice, as the Nicotine was out of my body sooner (there is no addictive Nicotine connected to Champix) The mental part of your brain needs some work to catch up, with your new lifestyle such as exercises, dance, music, games, etc. Keep your list of new things current and written down, you will find which activity is best for you to continue on with, start your new life with new look at what you eat, this will give you the stamina, above all congratulate yourself for giving yourself this new lease on life.

You will also need to set a date to stop the tablet in the final stage which is not mentioned in the literature you are provided with, but it is a good idea to keep this date in mind too. You will have no problems when you stop the Champix except the mental journey and each person is different, so stay close and keep in touch.

I am glad you got good advise from others who have used it. My advice is for all, regardless of aids or nrt's learn about nicotine and how it is an addictive drug, though legally acceptable in the past and now, does nothing except cause harm. We have been drugged and brainwashed to rationalize an unrational behaviour. (not to mention unhealthy) Now is the time to learn the truth and change our way of thinking. This in itself makes quitting so much easier. You can quit smoking. We are proof.
