Feeling sick

Hi guys,i was a chronic cigarette for about 15yrs, I quit smoking for over 8 weeks now, I had a very sick feeling for about a couple of weeks which I told it was normal to experience after quitting, called smokers flu/quitters flu, I felt better afterwards, but presently I'm having those same symptoms ,but a bit worse,i feel inflammation in my lungs, I don't know if it's inappropriate to feel this way, or if the smokers flu comes and goes away..cos I can't stop imagining if it's Covid, please anyone with any useful info to how I can alleviate this feeling should reach out, thanks a lot

Every quit is different and lasts according to your frame of mind i think. Perhaps you are going through a period of mourning . Even if subconsciously you believe that you are missing out on something, lost a friend, thinking that it ever did anything for you, then you will have the urge to relive those moments. When you get that kind of desire, then you need to set your mind to desire the freedom and all the other benefits of being a non-smoker. Retraining our minds from years of brainwashing and the nicotine addiction can take time.
You will overcome these . Think positive.
