84 days!
So that's me 84 days since my quit date. I had a drink of alcohol last week for the first time since I quit. I was with someone who was smoking and I took 3 puffs of their roll up. It was horrible! It tasted disgusting and it actually made me more determined never to smoke again! In a way I'm glad I tried it as it just sealed the deal I have with myself never to be a smoker again. I am so proud of myself for this achievement and its honestly up there with graduating from Uni! Willpower and determination was the only tools I used and this website of course. I hope everyone is still going strong on their journey!

Patrickprincess, you are braver than I. I wouldn't take the chance of taking a puff at that late date. I did swish it about in my mouth without inhaling to taste the disqusting poisons that tasted just like some weed killer I got a taste of on a cigarette i was smoking a few years before. We think NOPE , not one puff ever is the best advice. Nicotine is so highly addictive and if you are not truly loving being a non-smoker yet, a dangerous move in my opinion.
Of course, you probably love the extra money in your pockets and the better health. Isn't the freedom wonderful! So many great things to look forward as a non-smoker! You're proud and we are proud of you too. Great job!

Congratulations on 84 days partikprinces, I hope you do not try this trick again, it is just that one that set me back on the road to smoking a few years ago. I hope others reading this will not be blindsided by remaining complacent even with a large number of days behind you. It is not worth even thinking about it, just chuck the thoughts and cigarettes out of sight. (NOPE) Not one puff ever.
Keep posting and reading you will not regret it.
