HI all. I started smoking from my 8th standard and not continuously. For past 3 and half years i'm smoking daily average of 4 r 5 cig per day. I quieted smoking last month. That it was 27th day. I'm in Cold turkey. And in 1 st week i faced lot of panic attacks and depression and negative thoughts. That i faced with Heart palpitation, stomach burning, Sour throat, dehydration, mouth ulcer and after 1st week i have left hand and shoulder pain. then i considered the doctor . they took all the tests and it was normal. then the symptoms stopped. Now I'm facing with Stuffy nose in one side shoulder pain and left arm pain and back pain for past 20 days and now also my right shoulder also paining that i have muscle ache for past 20 days and also facing gastric problems. i feel like something in my throat. for all kind of things i concerned with doctor. he gave pain killer for two days but the pain in arms and shoulders does not get away. Once i do work with my system the shoulder pain got increases. Is these all related to nicotine withdrawal . I keep on googling about these pains and got depressed whether it will be another symptoms. Any other faced these problems ? kindly suggest me and help me from negative thinking.

Welcome Aaryan, it is early days still and your body is adjusting to the normal functions it should have, some experience multiple things for about 3 weeks after quitting, some longer than others, others have no symptoms.

Since you have been to your doctor, then it might be about time to try to minimise these stomach and bodily pains yourself for a few weeks.

I would tackle one thing at a time, such as eating healthy, and consider herbal remedies, Your local chemist can help you in various matters too.

By doing something practical you will be keeping your mind busy on helping yourself, which in turn decreases depression.

A good walk which we are allowed to do whilst in some lockdown situations is another remedy for improving your mood and body.

I personally had digestion problems for a while and eating probiotics was just one way to minimise any discomfort. If it doesn't improve, do not hesitate to go back o your doctors. Keep a diary of when you feel good, and when you don't. What you ate etc. for yourself to analyse and for your doctor later on.

Above all continue on with your quit, you should improve daily. Practice daily NOPE (not one puff ever) and practice any other Mantra you think would help.

Congratulations on quitting last month.

Aaryan, my experience has been that Google is the worst thing to look up symptoms on. Always gives bad things first. You are correct in going to your doctor. I agree with everything Softly said. I zero self and water are a great start. I also do a lot of deep breathing. This has helped me with my anxiety.

Everyone heals a bit different. Stay on the right track. You can do this. It will get better.

Poley, Thanks for sharing your experience an kind advice. I will keep on quitting. You are rite ! whenever i google according to symptoms i have it gives me negative things. I got scared of left arm pain and another body aches that it may be severe disease. which makes my anxiety high.

One thing i should say that these cigarettes was not worth for what the pain and the struggles i'm facing for this past one month after quitting. Seriously its hard time in my life that i cant with the nicotine withdrawal symptoms that i'm facing lots of symptoms every day. But I never give up !
