Realisation

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 15 May 2020

Hi everyone. Been a few days since my last post. Feeling positive that I can do this. Tried nrt patches for a few days after my previous post - NO not for me. Felt sick, dry throat, coughing, sore mouth. So I made the decision to go ‘cold turkey’, ‘chicken turkey’, ‘hot turkey’ or just plain STOP and NOPE! A recent chest infection and antibiotics also was another ‘WAKE UP’. It’s finally clicked in my warped nicotine addicted brain. I call it ‘the realisation’. Thank you for your comments and support - it’s good to be in a group with others that understand the Nic demon. I was a smoker for nearly 50 years! I started when I was nursing - doctors and patients also used to smoke on the wards. How bizarre! I cannot undo that time. I now have healthier days ahead, more money in the bank, and feel calmer. Each day there are more positive benefits appearing.

NOPE. NOPE. NOPE.
