Hi guys been a few days now since I have been in.

I have had a big relapse and started to smoke again I am very disappointed and angry with myself that I give it to them dirty cigarettes.

I was almost 3 weeks with the patch on and well it's hard to break the routine you do everyday with cigarettes I do the same thing everyday pretty much work, home and sleep. Inbetween them times it's vert hard to resist going for a cigarette.

I am having health issues at the moment and I have decided to start again with the patch.

Anyone else struggle on week 2.?

I am in my late 20s and refuse to be a smoker by 30.

Never quit quitting 💪💪

You are young and I suppose that full of strength, why not to try to fullfill deaf times with something meaningfull as such do excercise, read book or learning something new? If you will start doing something new when you quit smoking, you will little break your routine..

It's great that you are back on a good track..

We struggle with quitting smoking at all ages. Yes, finding something else to replace the bad habit helps immensely. Being physical or getting creative both fit the bill. Why not read our stories here and learn more about the addiction and you. Once you understand how it did nothing for you, you can see it for the drug it is and turn your thoughts from it. Embrace the idea of being a non-smoker rather than harbouring doubt. It really can be much easier once you truly believe and let go. You can do it. I am glad you are giving it another go. Good Girl.

Hello happiness I understand very much so that they do nothing for us the ciggeraties I just got to get through my head NOPE because it's true that you can have 1 puff and there you are right back to square 1.

I have figured out I can't be one of them smokers that can smoke 1 day and then have nothing for about 3 weeks

Start fresh again today 💪💪

I recently quit smoking after 17 years of smoking non stop. I went cold turkey during isolation. I haven't smoked for 2 weeks. It was quite easy for me when I was at home because if I had cravings I would try to have some snacks or chocolate so I would forget about the cravings. It would have been near impossible for me to quit while I was working because it's just part of my daily routine. I would recommend you try to stay at home as much as you can when you are trying to quit smoking early on. And no drinking alcohol for the first 2 weeks. No catching up with friends who smoke during this period. It gets easier after 2 weeks.

Hi swan6512 yea I thought now is a good time been stuck at home which is good

I seem to be fine at home this is my first day again to stop and I'm having no problems

Once I get to work it gets a struggle as there is some smokers at work but I go and eat some fruit while they smoke so I get distracted. I am determine to get past 2 week mark and stay off them for good.

Well done going cold turkey that takes a lot of guts to do 💪💪

Dear Gemma. In your comment that you realized that you could not just have one cigarette and then not have one for three weeks, I am detecting that your feel sorry for yourself. Why? Those that can do that will eventually also become addicted. You can feel sorry for those who still smoke long after you are free of the addiction.

Change how you view smoking and accept it totally. I actually quit by mistake when finding a site like this and believing that I could quit. I realized that I never thought I could quit and had resigned myself to that fact decades ago.

I understood how we justified it to ourselves and made it something it wasn't. I realized finally how it never "gave" us anything, it only "took". Well it is time we "took" back our freedom and "choose" better for ourselves. Simple as that.

I understand how smokers feel, as I was one for 45 years. I know that the ones who find us here can be freed. The first step is the need to turn to an actual WANT. Envision what you want and go for it. Think positive and you will do it.

Has anyone here regretted quitting smoking? Not I! Life is great as a non-smoker.
