Focus

schedule 9 May 2020

Feeling a lot better, and not a failure today. Am getting my strength back slowly. I have decided to focus on achievements so far, am finding that it helps, as does this site. I was beginning to feel I was going nuts. I have decided to STOP taking myself so seriously, go with the flow, be kind to myself, and laugh more. So, I smoked for a long time! I slipped up a few days ago- I fell off my bike a few times when I was learning too! Whilst I can’t change my past I CAN change my thoughts and my behaviour. Withdrawals are my healing buddies.

schedule 9 May 2020

Glad to see that you have gotten up and dusted yourself off, ready to give it another go. Soon you'll be crying out "look, no hands!". Once achieved, we wonder what all the fuss was about and think how accomplished we are. You can do it!

schedule 10 May 2020

It's important to realize your achievements Zen calm, you have had this in your mind from the start, you need to remind yourself of these and use a daily approach to maintaining your quit no matter what you are experiencing. NOPE (not one puff ever) is so simple and works if you use it daily. Glad to hear from you again, others might learn from this slip up too.

Hi Zen Calm.

You have the mindset to continue on your Quit.

I found the mindset from members on here, the Allen carr book, The easy way and just because I felt my motivation waining a little. I'm now reading his book titled "The Only Way To Stop Smoking Permanently"

Get into it

I am wondering how you are feeling about the no smoking thing?

Is it working out ?

Have you disabled that addiction? Or was it just a habit?

regards,

I often remind myself that I DONT SMOKE, sometimes feels strange, but true.

Ok, and no worries.

Everybody's Quit experiences have some differences. Some subtle and others hugely different.

We all have to find our own way to Quit, but, the only thing we all have in common is commitment. Knowing when that last smoke was sucked in and put out for the last time is crucial.

Get well as soon as you can.
