3 weeks no cigs

Hello world,

I quit smoking and it’s my 3th week. I been having trouble and I want to know if anybody has the same problem . After I quit my anxiety is perking really bad , shortness of breath , tight in the chest. Does anybody experience this while quiting? With everything that is going on and it’s really messing my head up and I want no what’s a good way to relax myself while quitting. Dry mouth and spitting out mucus is fine but the other side effects is really annoying . Just want to know if anybody has the same problem & what’s a good way to just relax because it’s making me go crazy. Thanks

Hi. I went through the same thing and I downloaded the mindfulness app and found it really helped. Hopefully it will work for you too. Hang in there it all gets better in time you just have to stay strong and you'll get to the other side.

Thank you! The worst thing I experience is the panic attacks. I be fine for couple of days then boom it comes out of no where . Some days my mind tricks me thinking I have the virus because I’m stuck in my house. I hope it gets better .

Don't borrow trouble . You are doing great. Remember that and don't let self doubt take over. Every quit is different and mine was actually easy. While some may be skepical i am sure, it depends how much you believe in yourself and what you desire to achieve. I don't say, "It depends on how much you want it totally" because I have seem many people who wanted to quit go through he'll . Mindset is key. I even joined a site and kind of quit by accident. Once I knew so many others could quit, I had to believe that i COULD too. Knowing I was an addict and could take back control. Learn about the relationship of you and smoking. Forgive yourself and see the enemy. Stop giving it the power. Desire freedom and think positive because we know that once you take control you will own it.

Thank you for the comment happiness! I thought I was crazy because of what the side of effects of quiting. But I read a lot of the stories and I’m not alone thank you.

i found that welcoming the craving or withdrawal and observing it, then letting it run its course buy exposing the feelings and living with it was very helpful, similar to mindfulness but without breathing, helped me i'm 2 years off the smokes, give it a try as it works.

Everything is going better now . I past my month! I’m proud myself. Time from time I still get Anxiety and panic attacks so I try my best to control it. But my breathing is geting better each day . So I guess it’s geting better. Patient & time is key!
