schedule 23 Apr 2020

Hi all, 46 days smoke free! I was on the patches to start with, then stopped them 11 days ago. Cough seems to be getting less frequent, which is good. Occasional headaches and tiredness prevail - am going with it and guess it is all part of the process. Generally feel more relaxed, ‘buzzy’ brain sometimes. Keep checking my bank balance! It’s a lot healthier than it was 5 weeks ago!

schedule 23 Apr 2020

We are doing exactly what we promised to do! 100% . Thats not smoking. It can get tricky or awkward after meals, stress, or with drinks sometimes, but I'm glad to say it simply gets easier every week!

I can agree that my brain felt buzzy for a few weeks until my brain and mind adjusted to going without nicotine also. Its a weird feeling and I was ready and well prepared for it this time. I'm now 77 days . 11 weeks.

Go you 49 days ahead for you my friend. 7 x 7 is 49 days.

stay strong no matter what happens Zen.

schedule 24 Apr 2020

Hi again Zen You are doing really well, despite the tricky bits. The tiredness could be part of your brain learning new things to overcome these thoughts that come and go, or it could be your need to look at your healthy eating plan next with some regular exercise. Try this out for a while, if this is not helping I would get yourself checked out by your GP. It is still early days and the re wiring of your brain seems to be your best ali, your body might take a while to catch up. We are all different in these aspects.

schedule 24 Apr 2020

Thanks puff no more. Agree my brain must be catching up. Good to hear that you experience it as well … thought I was going nuts! Congrats on 77 days that’s awesome. you stay strong too.

schedule 24 Apr 2020

Hi soul and heart, Thanks for your congrats - I love being free of cigarettes. Now, please don’t be sad. Everyone experiences the journey in different ways. I am certainly not as tired as I was earlier on. Some days I have more energy than others. I have found that if it don’t worry about it and rest if my body tells me to, helps. Well done on 13 days smoke free. It’s fun to keep a journal and write down what happens each day. Reading back what strange, funny things I’ve experienced so far is hilarious. Perhaps give it a try. Sending you positive energy, happy thoughts and strength.

Hi softly40 I enjoy reading your replies. You’re right the tricky bits are interesting at times. I tend to agree with you re the tiredness. It comes and goes. I eat well, walk every day, usually swim 3 times a week (looking forward to pools opening again). Am pretty sure it’s my brain readjusting to new thoughts etc without the old smoke haze. It’s good to have support from

others here. 🙏🏻

Keep well

schedule 27 Apr 2020

Hi puffnomore. Thanks. How are you going? I don’t have the desire to smoke...yay! Brain readjusting more each day, some days better than others. However am pushing through. It’s good to be able to say I don’t smoke and really mean it.

schedule 27 Apr 2020

Hi thanks for asking Zen, Got through today being very anxious and yet yesterday I was extremely tired and down a bit. Never mind, just keep riding the yin'n yangs of life ATM. I dont want to broadcast widely its due to missing the smoke? oh No surely not! After 80 days without a-puff how could it? I'll find some other reason for my malaise.

And after saving over $2,000.00 from the ash-tray, I'll continue to find any reason not to smoke and never find any excuse to smoke.

We DONT SMOKE
