First day had 1 slip up
Hello
Today is 1/1/2020 my quit date, in the morning I was strong as I never really smoked much until after lunch anyway. Around 3pm I rolled a smoke and smoked half and just had the other half then. I feel a little disappointed in myself but will continue on as the positives are I only smoked 1 cigarette today. Thanks to the i can Quit crew for your emails and support and to all the courageous people quitting and cutting down and sharing your awe inspiring stories. You are all incredible individuals coming together to support us new people trying to Quit.
Love you all

Hi Charliesangel. Did you read the book that we suggest to help you with the mindset? While willpower alone is helpful, there is a much easier way to quit smoking. In my earlier post i did commend you for practicing cutting down , but only to a comfortable point.
It is no surprise that you found it difficult to maintain just 2 or 3 cigarettes for any length of time. Please read this article that i found especially for you which will explain why. There was a different one from Joel's Library at Whyquit, that i was looking for when i found this. The one i had looked for was about cutting down one cigarette a day until zero. While the first half of this time may be relatively easy since we smoke many cigarette without consideration or mindlessly. They really wont be missed.
If you really hate this person....Hate this person...because it is antagonizing and cruel to do this to someone......praise them until they get down to that final one or two where they are pulling there hair out. Tell them they are doing great, but if they really have to take a puff here and there it would be ok.
Nicotine is out of our system in 72 hours. One Puff will put you at the first hour all over again. I really hope you understand this ......
By cutting down you only give the cigarette more power over you. It becomes your only thought. I know , I did it for about 3 days and went cold turkey rather than wait for my quit day. I am not a saddist. I don't like pain. I certainly wouldn't want to encourage anyone here to do what you are doing. Please make it your last cigarette and go cold turkey. If you have read the book, and our posts and have a true desire to be a non-smoker you should have everything you need to achieve it smoothly.
Reading especially for you Charliesangel. End the suffering. Jump to Freedom. Take a leap of faith like we all have to do eventually. We are here for you. You can do this!

Anyone can quit smoking. Knowledge is power!
Hello
Thank you Happiness for your support it’s now been 53 days completely of the smokes. I now agree with what you were trying to explain, I had to completely stop to give my mind, body and spirit a chance to completely rid my body of nicotine.
I’m so happy 😁 sending love 💕 light and happiness to all.
