Doing better

Well i am on day 5 today! 2 more days and im at one week! Since the first day, i havent slipped. Day 3 i thought i was going to go crazy since it was my first day back to work and dealing with customers. But i made it though. Still using the step one patches. Day 4 was a little easier...Thank God! The hard part is the hand to mouth motion. Has anyone else find it hard to break that one? I found that chewing a a straw or just even holding it in my smoking hand helped...a little. I have like cold symptoms but I'm hoping that its normal and that im not getting sick... Lol. Well i hope you all had a great Christmas! I know i did. Happy New Year's! Its a new decade and what a great way to start it being smoke free!

Well done.
I'm on day 7 today and also still useing step 1 patchers so we are pretty close in where we both are on or journey.
Wishing you the best of luck 😊

Luck has little to nothing to do with this journey. It is about where your head is. I hope that by reading and learning about nicotine and you, here and with Allen Carr and others on line, you will understand what the addiction did to you, resent it and have a change of attitude towards it. It seems that you are still missing it as a lost friend. Until you let it go you will not be free. There is no reason to miss it, as it did nothing for you but cause misery.
Rejoice in the fact that you are making headway to being free. Embrace this opportunity to change your life for the better. You are on a journey of a lifetime and it won't cost you a thing.
You are already reaping rewards in that your blood pressure is lower and you are saving money. You start to breathe better by this time too. We can take deep breaths now without coughing. We are oxygenating our bodies instead of depriving them . We are giving our bodies a chance to function as it was meant to and to protect us.
It is cold and flu season, but many who quit smoking also have bouts of coughing which is a good sign. It is the lungs clearing out the tar and debris from years of smoking. I was concerned because I did not go through this, but my physical was fine. Every quit is different.
Knowledge is power, Thinking positive is mandatory. You can do this, but try to accept this journey rather than fight it. The mindset really is key.

Great work so far!!! You’ve got this. It sounds like you’re already through the toughest part. Keep a positive mindset and keep telling yourself you’re no longer a smoker!

Hey mate TryingTK .... so missed you..
You're doing so well and I am too.... we were doing it tough there for a while.
We're cruising now.
HAPPY DAYS!
