I know

Hello everyone! I hope this finds you all doing well and more importantly, not smoking.
Things are going great for my husband and I. He is working really hard at his new job and already earning bonuses. We are both non-smokers now. 39 weeks and 3 days for me. 3 months for my husband. We're saving money and should be able to look for a little bigger place in the spring. (I'm in the states)
My kids and grandkids couldn't be happier. I only have cravings once in a while. So, all in all, life is good.

I am so happy that things are turned around BethP. Congratulations to both you and your husband for sticking with it in spite of the other hardships you were facing. Bowing to the stress and lighting up would not have solved things, but would have multiplied the intensity.
As theOldPhart mentions in his writings, the cravings go away whether you light up a cigarette or not. Do something like exercise (work a muscle ) or divert your mind to something else. (move a thought). Everyone really should read his story that he just posted and all 12 of them.
Best to you and hubby BethP. So proud of you and happy for you both.

Such an improvement in your life BethP congratulations to you both. Its so good to hear that no matter what drama comes along your committment to non smoking remains so strong. Thanks for giving us all an update. Good work.

I am so glad to hear that things are looking up for you Beth. Your decision to fight the battle against nicotine shows great wisdom and courage. Remember, every step forward in this battle makes your next step a bit easier. At some point those steps become so easy you won't even realize that you are taking steps at all . . . you will be too busy enjoying your smoke-free life!
