A big welcome and congratulations on getting to 8 days timparalega it will soon be 9. Its a good idea in the early days to keep yourself busy to overcome the cravings which are different for each of us.

It might be worth considering now, which activity gives you the greatest joy. and continue on with this. I came to a full stop with housework, and my house got really untidy in a few days, but later on I gave thanks for my body which enabled me to do this mundane task, now its in my happy list, (more than before anyway).

Keeping your hands and mind busy with other things certainly affords less time to be given to thinking about and possibly missing the cigarette. Remembering what it has robbed you of for all these years is the retort to a craving. Simply determine who is boss and proceed accordingly. Soon you will be free and wonder what all the hype was.
