Hi All
Decided to log back in and see how folks are tracking. It had been a while since I visited, maybe late April. I found a few stories that sounded familiar - when does it get better ? when does the anxiety go? etc...I can remember those days well and my heart ached for these folks. So I commented for these folk as I know when I was asking similar things many of you encouraged me. So thankful to you all. I am hoping my encouragement has helped others in turn. I am tracking well and learning to cope with life much better now. I have settled into the non smoker life. I no longer miss smoking. I am no longer losing my mind or riddled with anxiety. In fact I can't believe i wasted all those years smoking and was a slave to addiction. I am incredibly proud of myself too. Quitting has been truly one of my most cherished achievements and most hard fought achievements. So onwards I go. I will check back in again in awhile. Keep going everyone, one day at a time.

It is so great hearing from you Shamrock and wonderful to hear you so happy and proud of your success. I am sure it is reassuring to others to know that there is life after this journey and you will return to feeling more like your old self again. As with any change, it takes time to adjust. The adjustment can be made faster and easier with acceptance and optimism rather than resistance and doubt.
The journey starts off on the right foot with the strong desire to be free of nicotine and the belief that you can do it as many others have done before you. Each journey may be different, but we all have the power to take back control of our lives.
Great job Shamrock and all my fellow travelers for your perseverance and determination to find the better path in life. May you all stay positive and never falter.

I think its so good of you to come back to say hello again Shamrock, you are a little ahead of me, It might help yourself too by replying to a few posts now and again, it doesn't hurt to remain vigilant and it can inspire others to keep going. Wishing you well
