Isnt that a title of a movie?

Anyway 45 days...today is 46...and going well. Ive had a few urges last 2 days (definitely more than usual) which has surprised me. Nothing major and easily battered away after a few moments, but coming at an increased frequency than other weeks.

Saved over 1.2k now.

How the *deleted* did I ever afford this stupid habit?!?

Can't recall the movie PV but its good you have your sense of humour still, I too recall some overwhelming moments early on. Jot them down if you can, it will show you a pattern of what you were doing/thinking/or just the time of day. It will pass though as you continue. Yes we can all question ourselves as to how we could afford the cigarettes, Nicotine has given us the addiction problem too.

46 days great one!

I was one of those who didn't put the smoking money aside when I quit over a year ago,its mind boggling how much I must have spent over 57 years

Have you strated saving what you were spending or like me have you just enjoyed knowing its available for other things

47 days is a fine effort, keep it going PV its definitely worth the savings

Hi PV. A huge wake up call. An amazing amount saved. Too bad we never gave it a thought way back then when we were passively busy burning all that and more and not really paying attention or watching it go up in smoke. I have $32500 in my overs tray and it feels pretty good. Take one day at a time.

Although i have just saved about $1000 over 6 months, or $2,ooo a year, it does not compare to prices quoted in Australia. I can't imagine $1000/month for the past 50 Years or $600,000 that's over half million! Up in smoke!

Even in Canada it amounts to what i bought my house for 30 years ago, so in effect i paid out my mortgage twice! Just a fact for the young ones who might read this and to see just how it costs your future.

My greatest reward is being able to breath better with no shortness of breath. My husband and daughter both quit as well. Some things are priceless.......
