NRT can be addictive

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 19 May 2019

I mostly had sucsess in giving up smoking but found not after long i was addicted in my case to the nicotine gum my mum knows now i have a habbit of chewing the gum and some family members have even commented saying just how addictive it can be. But i guess in the long run it's still better than inhaling the something like 4,000 toxic chemicals. I guess in the last 2 years since i quit i still miss the occassional light up of a cigarette, the feel you get from it is so overwhelmingly good but the habbit sucks and it's effect on health. I had been in a few programs over the years and got kicked out of them for been caught smoking some occ health and safelty things that i kept ignoring the rules. I had for a while a habbit of the lozenger especially first thing in the morning when waking up but i feel i guess i could try the champix to get me off the gum we'll just have to see maybe i can talk to my doctor see what they reccomend

Any method of quitting can be as uncomfortable or as easy as you make it. Set you mind to do it and done. Hem and haw and think about how nice it would be to sneak one totally defeats the purpose and that kind of thinking will keep you at its mercy.

No one can make you quit, only you. You and your desire to. You can substitute all you want and abstain from smoking, fighting every day, maybe every hour for eternity. Until you really decide to be a non-smoker.

You are still in the clutches of the nico monster, still feeding it the nicotine it so desperately relies on you to give it. When are you going to deny him? Have you tried using regular gum and lozenges? Champix may kill the nico monster short term, but you need to work on your mindset or you will be right back where you started. Sorry if that seems blunt, but you have been here for 2 years now. Something needs to change. Red is so correct and I back his statements.

You too can quit Webb quit, start over by making the lists , the pros and cons and reading. Keep reading until you understand and CAN ACCEPT THAT THERE ARE NO PROS.
