Always sleeping

Hello I quit smoking 4 days ago. I had a slip today and smoked 3 cigarettes. I gave them away because I don’t want to be smoking but I do not want to feel the need to sleep all the time either. I start a new job June 5th and cannot be sleeping until 2 pm. Have others felt this way? Suggestions?

Hi Joyousvibres. You still have a few days to weather the worst of the journey before you take on a new job. I trust you look forward to this new job and change in life and I encourage you to embrace quitting smoking with the same relish. You will give the new job your full commitment, and this journey expects no less. Embrace this journey as you would all good changes in your life and it can be an easy journey. Believe in yourself and in your success and you will be successful.

I had no cravings after 72 hours, no war going on inside my head, because i had made up my mind.

I gather you are also going cold turkey as I did.

Cravings are nothing but mere thoughts, and after 72 hours you know that you have the upper hand. Take joy and pride in that and show who is in control.
