December 10, 2018. One of the best days of my life. The day! Had my last cigarette. I have dealt with more medical issues the last two years than ever before, and all because of smoking.

Friday, I had to have a breast biopsy. Nothing to do with smoking, I don't think.

Thank God the results came in negative for malignancy. I couldn't be more grateful to God, and for any and all prayers sent up on my behalf.

I came so close to starting up smoking again this weekend, waiting for the results. I am so happy that I didn't.

You did so well BethP anxiety is one of my triggers, but difficult to deal with both anxiety and patience together. I recently had tests done, nothing major just the normal stuff for my age group, its still at the back of your mind though. Me AOK and now 44 days free of nicotine and tar. Good for you in that you avoided the temptation.

You as well, softly40. I know that no matter what comes up in the future, I have done myself a great favor by giving up cigarettes.

Proud of you for being strong and staying the course. Fear and uncertainty are emotions that can inhibit our journey. You can relax now, and trust in your own self.

Why is it that we can accept that ill health was caused by smoking, even though we continued to smoke for decades, knowing the perils. Why can we not accept the fact that our bodies can heal given a chance, and believe that quitting the killing addiction can directly benefit our health.

It seems you may have succumbed to smoking the very thing that you feared would cause your demise. I am hoping now that you will stay strong in the belief that your results were good because you quit smoking.

We all know that smoking gave us nothing, except negative results. When you denounce it and move on, you will do so without regret or sense of loss.

I too feared the damage that may have been inflicted but have also experienced the amazing healing powers of our bodies.

Keep up the positive attitude and great result BethP!
