Want to Quit

Hi,
I'm struggling to stop smoking. I stopped yesterday but started again this morning and have had two or three today.I'm planning on stopping again tomorrow and am determined this time to follow through. I know that the most important thing I have to do is get through those intense urges, especially the morning ones, which I can do by allowing the urge to pass, and distract myself by carrying out my normal routine. It's going to be quite hard because I class myself as a chronic smoker. This time I'm going to really push myself through those urges. Wish me luck.

Hi Nath. Did you read Allan Carrs's easy Way that i posted the link to? If that failed, then you at least have knowledge and understanding of nicotine and quitting. Maybe try my plan of "given up , given up? Try this!" while researching even more and finding the reasons to quit that are pertinent to you. Hopefully you will reach the point that your are quitting , not because you feel you have to , but because you really truly want to. Then it becomes must easier and fully sustainable.
Anyone can quit smoking. Find it within you. Research until you find the key.

Try using mints or mouth refresher sprays when cravings hit or go brush your teeth. You’re occupying your mouth (habit sorted) but reminding yourself that everything about you smells and feels better.
Just an idea that worked for me.
