Enjoying not being a smoker. it is tough at time's, espcially with the craving's, but i keep reminding myself that if i start smoking again i will be back at square one and start all over again, so i just tell my self not to buy smokes and i will succeed. it is getting easier, but i will keep up telling my self to not buy smokes.

I am glad that you are finding the journey getting easier now Graeme, however your way of thinking is still not the best. You feel deprived when you say or think "But I won't buy another pack". Instead you might think while in a store shopping, "i am so happy to have extra money for (blank) Or take a deep breath full of oxygen and give thanks that you can breathe better, feel better and are free. Instead, turn a craving into a victory, that you are winning and it is begging.

How do you feel when you wake in the morning knowing you have some chore that you HAVE TO DO, that you have procrastinated far too long. You feel tired just thinking about it, and lethargic and unhappy. When you wake thinking , the day is here i am going to have a great time at (blank) I have been looking forward to this ! You wake pumped, excited and full of energy. Looking on the bright side of life is a much better way of spending a day.

You are in control now. In every way. Think positive and it will get easier faster. Still a great job Graeme, and i hope this helps

Hi Graeme. I am in the same headspace as you. After 1399 days just one puff would bring me back to the same addiction I had for 45 years. Not one puff, ever. Could take years to get up the strength and determination to try again. By then it may be too late as health may be on a serious decline. No turning back.
