Champix side effects though determined
Using Champix-last night the nightmares were extreme out of body even I havn't been sleeping and missed work today. Back to the Dr to advise on options I bought some natuaral sleeping aid also. I feel fine today and have brought my quit date forward to today from Saturday incase i can not sustain the champix long term. I also changed my nick name on this site away from Champix champion Champix is great for cigarette cessation for me but it's a deal that has an equal downside
I am sorry you had such a rough night. You asked how long i had quit, and it is 117 days, smart turkey with no cravings after 72 hours. How fast can you read? Allan Carr's book would definitely help you. I have heard of some cutting the Champix dose down, which might get you over the next 72 hours, and while you read the book. You have quit before and so already know how to make the behavioral changes to aid in the transition, just as cutting down does. I am assuming you would not revert to taking a Nicotine aid at this point, but to go smart turkey? Talk to your doctor, know the choices, and do what you feel is best for you. I have confidence that you know you, and will make the right decision.

Years ago we did not have internet and knowledge at our fingertips. You used an aid or willpower or both. Knowledge is key in getting you to understand how you got addicted, and information and support groups are also available. Cold turkey scares people just thnking of it. Smart turkey just means more knowledge, and a plan in place.
Allan Carrs book does not require any before hand steps or info. His arguments and common sense approach eliminates a lot of the FEAR that prevent people from even trying to quit. He instills faith that you can quit. It is a powerful book. He also holds seminars where you go and 5 hours later put down your smokes...
I noticed you said that you "skimmed" the book. Please read cover to cover. He wants you to understand every step and his point in making them before you proceed.
