It can be a struggle.

I have struggled to quit.i am trying the champions again and worry my head space is not in the right frame of mind.it is so hard to stop the habit. I think I want to stop but I have nothing to do so I lit up as soon as I can. Need lots of help.

Hey Ronald you are making the right decision in quitting your really not giving anything up I found I was in the same situation as you I was struggling mentally with my decision I found a really helpful app called stop smoking in 2 Hrs with Jason Vale’s and it is fantastic and I’m happy to say I am 1 week smoke free and not struggling at all. Good luck.

Hi Ronald. Every quit is different, but we are all or have been in the same boat here, and doing our best to safety. First off, congratulations for a great decision in choosing to become a non smoker. Choosing being the main word here. Not a have to, or want to , but a CHOOSE to. No one can make that decision but you, but you waver..... stop wavering and make the final decision...it really is as easy as that.
It is can be easy to quit, the nicotine monster is no where as strong as we had all feared. It is we, who are our own worst enemy.
Is is our fear of letting go of the past. It is leaving that comfort zone. Have you ever changed jobs? Moved to a new place? Bought a new house, knowing you were good, at great decision, but still doubts? Nicotine makes you doubt yourself because it has been there for us for many years. It is not until we nunderstand that it actually did nothing for us, but in fact compromised our health and depleted our savings we might have had. It is a myth that is gave us confidence, we only got confident after feeding it its insatiable nicotine feed, so that we could actually function.
In joining groups like this we can regain our confidence, knowing that others have defeated the addiction, and so shall you. I was a smoker for 45 years, and never thought that i could quit. It was a series of things that brought me to quitting, so kudos to you and all the brave ones who made the decision.
Once educating myself through a quit group (this is the best!) I came to understand why i got addicted, and how i no longer had to be. Read and Learn is my best advice. Knowledge is Power! We can gain control of our lives! Anyone can quit smoking and be free, believe!

It is a mind game Ronald. We have to hate those smokes. They strip money, health, lifestyle and will bring us to a premature DEATH.

The above may give you some insight and ideas. One day at a time. You can quit IF you choose to. BELEIVE!

And if you think you have nothing to do... i quit my job and retired while i quit smoking. Find another interest. Spend time with familly and friends. Research addiction. Good food. Pick up an old hobby, exercise....... if i did, you can!

Hello Jason,
I can totally relate to what you are going through. I understand I have to change my habits but sometimes I really do not know what to do and then I reach for a smoke. I have stopped buying them though but I still have the occasional smoke from other people. Maybe we can help each other. Give each other ideas on what to do. I find a shower helps, going for a walk, having a snack (but I don't wanna get fat either), colouring in and that's about all I got but it sure isnt enough to keep me going. Let me know how you are going.

its the extra time that we dont know what to do with that trips us into thinking i'll have a smoke

Like is said Jason. I quit 105 days ago cold turkey, never in a million years thought i could or would quit this ferocious addition. I could only hope to better my health though other means. follow my story. I don't feel special , yet i hadsuch an easy time quitting, as did my spouse. It really is about a believe in yourself and your reasons for quitting. I quit because i could not put hin nor my family of what waht inevitable.... do y9u want to be a fish? Gasping for air? I did not, nor did i ever want to subject my loving family to see me like that. I had treied quitting decades ago , before computers, and help at fingertips, knowledge...... yes i have felt spaced out on patches and Zyban, but this time it was fate. When i didn't feel like smoking, *due to my ginger and turmeric lung cleanse, which i took to impove my COpd., for i could felt i could never quit smoking after (honestly 47 Years) being 60," To my amazement and surprise after joining a quit group and understanding, i did quit.
The mind and determination is a powerful thing. I stay to support others and hope that they understand that a Want and Understanding is indeed #1. I do not nor have have ever considered myself special. In fact i feel at a loss to respond to other inquires except to offer support because i do know that it in in everyone's ability to quit this dreadful habit/addiction (both) if they trul.y WANT to . If you are not sure, this webe site can help.
read and rsearch. Knowledge is Power.
You can quit smoking if prepared, educated and ready!
