Boyfriend smokes

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 8 Jan 2019

My boyfriend smokes. It's a disgusting habit. It used to bother me. But not anymore. He smokes outside at my place and he doesn't smoke in the car when I'm in it.

So do you think a $1000 a month habit is ok? I don't know where you reside but that is what it costs in Australia for a pack a day habit. So what are you saying? Are you quitting? I am puzzled about your post.

You're doing great Rachael. You can't force anyone else to quit, but you do need to make him respect you. Good for you. Maybe he will also start to see how these vile sticks dictate his life and join you on your quest. Keep throwing out subtle hints about how good you feel, how wonderful that you can taste things again, the money your splurged on yourself with the savings......

Congrats Rachaelk46548 days quit is awesome and I personally wouldn't worry either about your boyfriend smoking. Yes it would be nice if he'd quit too but you can't force it as they have to want to quit for themselves. My husband smokes and so does my daughter's boyfriend (who lives with us). I don't let it phase me as I've made my choice and I respect theirs. I do brag about my success occasionally and hey why not, nothing's stopping them from joining me. My husband is trying to cut right back this week which I'm hoping means he might be trying to join me. Hey great job and keep going😊

The bonuses continue Leeann. I hope your husband has the courage and faith to follow your lead. He trusts you, sees you have succeeded, no tall tales here. Someday he will believe in himself enough to take this journey. Our success inspire others. It is so gratifying.
