Happy and Smoke Free in less Than 2 Weeks

I never thought i could quit. But i have. Anyone can as i have learned .

I quit by accident, trying to better my health, do something for myself if i wanted to avoid further Copd health issue and of course avoid lung cancer. So i found and took a simple lung cleanse of Ginger and Turmeric ( 2 Tbs morning and again before bed) to rid of toxins. I later found out that Ginger prevents nausea as well as curbs appetite, and reduces cravings.

The week i took it, I also tried to cut out some cigarettes simply by putting them where i couldn't reach them readily. It is surprising how much we smoke without any thought. On the 8th day taking this, i woke up and didn't feel like a cigarette right away and decided to see how long i could go without. I only smoked 6 half cigarettes that day by the Delay, Distract method. Next day 5 and the next day the first 2 puffs gave me such a nicotine rush that i knew most was out of my system. I smoked my last 3 cigarettes that day and quit cold turkey the following day. I continued with my tonic until it ran out on the 11 day, and then just incorporated the ingredients in my everyday meals, or a chicken broth with turmeric and ginger as a drink, or add rice for a soup. By this time i was nicotine free and the cravings lessened.

It was a lot easier than i could have ever imagined. No sign of withdrawl except for that nagging in your mind that have learned to ignore. Drink plenty of water too because it helps to flush the toxins. I have never been a water drinker for 8 glasses a day was new to me, but so worth it.

The 4th day i knew i was going to be successful. Rarely a craving, or more accurately a mere fleeting thought. I had joined a quit help line and saw that so many were still battling the cravings after months. I felt very fortunate. My spouse was encouraged by seeing me quit that he is now reading the book by Allan Carr and suggested i read it too. I am half way through it and we take turns reading it. I now understand how i was in the right mind set and can now rest assured that i will not have cravings and will continue to be a Happy Non-Smoker because i don't feel like i gave up any thing. I choose to look at it as regaining my life back, in soooooo many ways. Why would i crave something i don't want? Something that only took , and took, and took from me. Those of you who have followed Red-67 will know what i mean. I would encourage everyone and especially the newcomers to follow Red-67. I don't think he read the book either, he just looked through the smoke and mirrors. We are both proof that it can be done.

Keep an open mind . You can be free. Becoming a Happy Smoker can be achieved by all.

Thank you Robn

I made a mistake in my post, the end as i am sure you all know meant be a Happy NON-smoker. When i mentioned the benefits of ginger i meant that it curbs nicotine cravings as well as suppresses appetite. The way i quit, i quit smoking and lost 5 lbs those first days. Of course the body ridding itself of toxins also burns more calories.

The body is an amazing thing, as is the mind. I am glad Red was able to get through to some, and i hope i can too. I understand his frustration of trying to get others to see what we see so clearly. No fault of theirs, it is just another curse of the nicotine addiction. We both it seems just get so darn excited trying to explain how we got the mind set so that you can do it too. I see that he and Kim had a misunderstanding earlier and i do hope they ironed things out. They seemed like very good supportive friends. I do hope everyone realizes that Red-67 only wants to share his new found miracle craving buster with everyone here.

Has anyone seen an illusion puzzle (you see them on Facebook) One comes to mind. I believe it is a woman's face, That is what you see initially, , but if you look at it longer, you see a witch. Once you see the witch you can't unsee it. Such is the mindset we want you to achieve. Anyone can become a Happy Non=Smoker. Have an open mind. Choose to be free and you will be.

This isn't quite the same illusion but it gives some meaning of seeing through the nicotine monster.
