Anxiety

Good morning everyone it's been almost 6 months for me being smoke free cold Turkey. What I am experiencing is anxiety like symptoms more often like every other week. I don't want to smoke I don't have the urge. But I don't want result to meds for anxiety. Can anyone give me any insights on how to deal with this. Its draining. But I will stay strong day by day. I never experienced anxiety before quitting. I smoke for 6 years. If anyone could help or having the same issues please share your story. I will win and stay in the fight.

Not smoking is likely not the source of your anxiety so I would stop making that connection.

Hi BeeMee36 have you tried any herbal calming aids for the anxiety? I personally would start there and if no better consult your Dr. I agree with Red67 if you need a little aid for the anxiety that is no big deal in comparison to the poison of smoking. Congratulations for reaching 6 months you are doing great and please don't be illusioned to think that having a cigarette will give you anything good.

274 days since I quit my stress has got worse, anxiety way more, some mornings I struggle to get up out of bed, I wake up in the night with hot and cold sweats, I think maybe I have depression but I am not giving in, I dont want to smoke but I could light one up any time, I have saved over 7000 dollars in smokes, but I will say this I haven't felt the mental way I do since I gave up, this is not an excuse to start smoking again as I will not but I think people need to understand it can effect more than your friends and doctors know
