Struggling

Day 3, of not smoking. So proud of myself but I am really struggling today. I really want a smoke! I am going cold turkey, any hint or tips for keeping the cravings off my back. I really want to stay on track, and do not want to give into these urges!!
I want to stay smoke free, it feels like there is two of me fighting in my head, one saying "go on have one" & the other saying "No!! dont youve come this far & this is what you really want" feel like Im going crazy! Has anyone else had this? If so how do you stop it? Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Good on you Poss I'm so proud of you for coming this far and so disappointed in myself for having one. Trust me it's not worth it. I really resented doing it as soon as I lit up and it wasn't even satisfying. I was just so exhausted after my difficult day at work that I did not have the energy to talk myself out of it. I hate being a slave to cigarettes so I'm going to continue my journey with one slip up. Keep going because now I have to start all over again.....wish me luck (:-(

Your so right Robyn I have to keep busy and also look at myself as a non smoker now. It is sheer will power & also reinforcing to yourself 'Why I am on this journey in the first place, because I want to quit smoking!' Gees you have to stay so strong & determine, its not easy at all. But so far Im winning!!

Jacq be proud of yourself, you are doing one of the hardest things to do! Quitting smoking is the ultimate test of strength, gees I could have one, easily.
I have the advantage that no one smokes in our house. Keep going, you can definitley do this 😊
I bought a pk of 'Nicorette Inhalator' its like a fake cig, I have found this really helps curve the cravings, especially when your about to loose it.
You have got this Jacq 👍😊. Keep going!

Hi Poss. I just found your story. I joined this site afteryourstory date. Since i don't recall seeing your name on comments, I don't know that you aren't just the quiet type, and reading in the background or have quit the attempt rather than cigarettes.
I do hope it is the former.
However if it is the latter, I am hoping you still want to be a non-smoker. I wrote a piece about "If you've GivenUp GivenUp" that may interest you. At least worth a read, if not a try. Best to you!
