I have two voices in my head

4days in of not smoking I have two voices going on in my head .... one justifying just having a smoke .... the other answering it back no!!!! I have noticed that a firm no way !! Really helps the crave and deep breathing.... but the struggle is real and takes so much energy but on the upside I am very productive and have gotten so many jobs done around the house .....

Hi Tans congrats on sticking to your guns, yes you keep telling those cravings NO and I used to remind myself I do not want a cigarette its only the addiction talking trying to suck me back. So stay strong and keep being productive, you are doing great👍

Thanks Red that’s great advice👋👋Leeann I agree busy as a bee .... so it’s perhaps week four where the turning point is I’m looking forward to it.... sometimes it feels like it’s been six months lol and it’s onlyfour days today🤔Thanks again to you both for the support

It gets easier for sure. Well done. Any time off the cigs is a job well done. Just be firm and occupy your mind.

Hi Tans. I just read your story. I joined after your last story, which just left us hanging. I do hope you had a successful quit and just got too busy to post comments and such.
I am interested in how it worked out for you . The backswards quit, as i call my plan is similar.(My post of GivenUp GivenUp) Past attempts you went cold turkey, but found it difficult to continue with the behavioural and psychological required to quit successfully. This time you seemed to get the mindset, learned about the nicotine receptors and in control. You were learning while on nicotine, and then going cold turkey to rid of the nicotine. By day 4, the nicotine should have been out of your system. What went wrong?
Please see my post, and any input from you would be appreciated. I hope it may even spark the desire to become a non-smoker again. All the best to you!
