Day one! Needing advice.

So it’s day one of taking champix! I only took it around 3 hours ago..
I want to quit so bad and I know you have to want to quit and have the will power that the champix doesn’t do it all for you.. but I’m feeling so stressed like it’s coming to an end and I need to just quickly have another one, did anyone feel like this one day one?
I’ve set my quit date to a weeks time.
Just looking for some good stories, did day two make you feel a lot better?
Help please!

Hi riah10 the first day is the hardest I was feeling the same couldn't stop thinking about smoking I didn't stop completely smoking till day 4 on champix in the first day I had 3 smokes a day try just having same day 2 two smokes day day 3 one smoke I'm am 4 days smoke free now and not even craving a smoke that often and when I do crave I jump on hear and read how well people are doing till my craving passes you can do it just remain positive and tell your self this will better your overall health good luck hope this helps

Hi Riah10 this is also my first day, im using Champix also, DNT worry lets both stay and track and do it together. I want to see my kids grow thats my drive

Thankyou both of you! It’s good to know we’re all not alone in this!
Towards the end of the arvo I noticed I wasn’t thinking about it like crazy occupying myself and tonight I had one after dinner and it tasted gross but god this is going to be hard!

Hi riah
Took me 3 weeks on the champix to quit so don’t rush. Allow your body to tell u when to stop smoking. Good luck!

When you first quit smoking you stop feeling normal. The longer you stay away from cigs the more normal you start feeling. Just like non smokers who feel normal without the smokes.

Hi Riah. Relax lol. It's very common when first starting to realize you're actually giving up your best friend. as you continue with the Champix your desire to smoke will become less. Don't rush your quit date. Set one a bit later. If you feel ready to quit before then go for it. If you happen to have one after you've quit just move on and do your best to be strong. I wish you much luck and a smoke free life.
