Day 8

Hi all. I am 49 and I have been smoking for 35 years. I am on Day 8 of Champix so just moved on to the higher dose 2mg daily, feeling a bit nauseous but nothing too bad and it is only on the morning dose that I have felt nauseous. The urge of wanting a cigarette is now fading, although I am still tempted to have one but I am going to try and hold off. My quit date is in 2 days time

Well done Mich69.
I too smoked for 35 years & am now on day 317 without one (not even a puff)....yay! I used Champix to help me quit & found that having a glass of water with your morning dose helps to ease the nausea.
Good luck with the journey, it really isn't all that bad if you put your mind to it & don't rely on Champix to do all the work, you have to be strong & willing as well. Some days will be worse than others, but the good days far outweigh the bad & just remember & keep thinking that everyday without a cigarette is one day of success.
You can do this!

Well done Ronyag. Thank you very much for the tips. I am determined to do this. I feel today may be my quit day and not in 2 days time as I really do not feel like having a cigarette
